Sauk County Mesh Network
AREDN is a closed, Self-Configuring, Self-Healing, Redundant Network. Using off the shelf outdoor rated equipment on the Ham Radio bands we are able to rapidly deploy a wide network for an event or disaster using portable equipment and permanent infrastructure that may already be in place.
Currently the 900MHz, 2.4 GHz, 3.4GHz, and 5.8GHz bands are supported. In Sauk County we primarily run on the 5.8 and 2.4 bands. As the mesh is expanded we may add some other bands to our network.
We have many different services and devices running on the network, including Cameras, Remote Controlled Radios, Chat, File Server, Video Conferencing, IP Phones, and more. Remember if you can up it on a network it can MESH!
