MEETING MINUTES October 3, 2006 The meeting was called to order by president Schulze, N9UDO 7:53, when Dave, KB9CSW walked in thus making a quorum. Tom, N9PQJ moved to accept the September minutes. Second by Don, K9JYX. Passed. Treasurers Report: Bills are paid and there's money in the checkbook. The deposit for the fairgrounds from the swapfest was returned. Under old business various rents for holding the swapfest at the fairgrounds was discussed. Litscher pavilion $150.00 or $200.00 with the Elk’s kitchen. Badger building $150.00. It was decided to continue the discussion at future meetings after other venues are checked out. Bill, KC9CVD talked about a D-Star presentation he attended at the Space Place. 6.5khz bandwidth using didital communications. Steve went on to explain more about digital communications and the P25 standard. Under new business the Christmas party was discussed with no action taken. Joe, WB9SBD is gathering a group to work the ARRL HF November sweepstakes on November 18th from 3 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday. Tom, N9PQJ reminded everyone that Zilch was coming up on Oct.29, either in Portage or Sauk. N9JRN was buck night winner. In his absence the pot grows to 2 bucks.
