Meeting Minutes - November 3, 2009

The meeting was called to order by President Steve Schulze (N9UDO) at 7:30 p.m. The minutes from the meeting on October 6, 2009 were distributed and reviewed. Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) made a motion to correct the start time from 7:00 to 7:30. The motion was seconded by Bill Stehling (KB9CVD) and the vote was unanimous. Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) motioned to accept the corrected minutes. Tom Yager (KC9NJP) seconded this motion. A vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Don Evenson (K9JYX) was absent. Steve reported that our account balance is $7606.36. There are no outstanding bills. Old Business: Prior to the meeting, the Executive Committee reappointed Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) to the position of Member At Large. Thank you, Dave, and congratulations! Our new S-COM 7330 repeater controller is here! The programming and installation process has begun. Steve (N9UDO) submitted a bill for $474.00. We received a bi-annual bill for our web site hosting fee. Tom (N9PQJ) made a motion to pay this $207.66 bill. It was seconded by Jane Steinweg (N9JAS), and the vote was unanimous. Several suggestions have been made for our holiday party on January 16, 2010: 1. Blackhawk Restaurant, Sauk City, was suggested by Bill (KC9CVD).  For $12.00 + tax, we can have a chicken and ribs dinner, or a sirloin steak. The meal includes potato, salad, vegetable, and drink. 2. RJ's in Portage was suggested by Dave (KB9CSW). We would each be ordering from the menu, prices start at $12.00. 3. Farm Kitchen has a Saturday night buffet. Jane (N9JAS) volunteered to call for more information. If you have any other suggestions, please forward this information to Steve (N9UDO) as soon as possible. Watch your e-mail for more updates; we need to make a decision soon! New Business: 2010 Circus City Swapfest: After a discussion with Don Michalski (W9IXG), it was suggested that YTARC hold the event again on the 4th Saturday in August. Jane (N9JAS) made a motion to hold the annual event on August 28, 2010 at the Baraboo Elks Club.  This was seconded by Tom (KC9CVD), and the vote was unanimous. Mark your calendars! Tom (N9PQJ) made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m. This was seconded by Dave (KB9CSW) and passed by unanimous vote. Our next meeting will be December 1, 2009.
