Meeting Minutes - June 2, 2009

The meeting was called to order by President Steve Schulze (N9UDO) at 7:30 p.m. The minutes from the meeting on May 5, 2009 were distributed and reviewed. Bill Timme (N9NNN) made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, and Bill Hanold (N9CHN) seconded the motion. A vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Don Evenson (K9JYX) was absent. Steve (N9UDO) presented the treasurer's report. Our current balance is $xxx4.72. Old Business: BSA Circus Heritage Days: This event was attended by Steve (N9UDO), Rick Plouffe (N9ROY), and Tom Yager (KC9NJP).  They demonstrated PSK-31, VHF, UHF, and 40m. The ARRL's scouting kit was also utilized. Certificates for the Jim Paul (N9LKY) memorial balloon flight will be in the mail shortly. After further discussion, Bill Timme (N9NNN) motioned that the YTARC meetings continue monthly. Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) seconded this motion. A unanimous vote passed the motion. SwapFest: no new news. New Business: Field Day is June 27-28, 2009! We will begin setting up camp at Owen Park at 6:00 p.m. Friday night the 26th. Contesting will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bring your radio, antenna, and tent! YTARC will provide grill & charcoal, tables, generator, and soda. Saturday night, bring a dish to pass and your own grilling meat. Zilch will be Sunday morning. As a side note: Rhythm and Booms is scheduled for Saturday night. Come early - the park area will be crowded! Fox hunts: a couple are in the works, stay tuned! Bill Timme made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:00 p.m.. It was seconded by Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) and the vote was unanimous. Our next meeting will be July 7, 2009.
