Meeting Minutes - January 6, 2009

The meeting was called to order by President Steve Schulze (N9UDO) at 7:30 p.m. The minutes from the meeting on December 2, 2008 were distributed and reviewed. Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) made a motion to accept the minutes as presented. The motion was seconded by Don Evenson (K9JYX). A vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Don Evenson (K9JYX) reported that our balance as of 1-01-09 was $xxxx.66.  $25.20 was spent on postage, and Steve Schulze (N9UDO) was reimbursed $20.14 in expenses for the club's end of the year mailing. Our current balance is $xxxx.32. Old Business: 1. Steve (N9UDO) reminded us of the upcoming party. 2. The 2009 SwapFest discussions continued. Several options were presented, including: changing the location, changing the date, and enticing commercial venders with free tables. Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) made a motion that the board members be allowed to choose the date. This motion was seconded by Tom Harrison (N9PQJ).  The vote unanimously approved the motion. 3. Regarding the repeater linking project, Richland Center is still awaiting approval for an additional antenna at their tower site. 4. D-Star: no new news to report. New Business: 1. Don Evenson (K9JYX) is continuing to work on the forms to make YTARC a 501-3c organization. 2. From the year-end letter, a date correction was mentioned. The AES Superfest is April 3-4, not March 27-28.  Please make a note of this on your calendars. 3. The next Zilch is January 25, 2009 at Farm Kitchen, 10:30am. Contact Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) if you need further information. 4. A Fox Hunt has been suggested by the membership for 2009. Stay tuned for future information. A motion was made by Jane Steinweg (N9JAS) at 9:30pm to adjourn the meeting. It was seconded by Don Evenson (K9JXY). The motion passed unanimously. The next YTARC meeting will be February 3, 2009.
