Meeting opened EXACTLY at 7:30pm by Steve, N9UDO, President.

N9UDO passed out copies of the December 6, 2005 meeting minutes along with copies of the renewal forms and letter that were mailed to all members.

Don, K9JYX made a motion to accept the minutes as written. Tom, N9PQJ seconded. Motion passed on voice vote.

Treasurer’s report was tabled due to the absence of N9KXX, our beloved Treasurer.

Old Business:
We tabled the re-write of the by-laws to this meeting. We have discussed the changes, and N9UDO will type up a draft of the new changes and present them at our next meeting. We have to present them at the next meeting, then have 2 votes at back to back meetings before the new changes go into affect. Hopefully we will have this all completed by the April meeting.

N9ROY motioned to pass at this time on helping to replace the amplifier on the KD9UU Repeater, until we are able to get more information on users, activity etc. K9JYX seconded. Motion passed on voice vote.

January 29, will be the next Zilch, to be held at the Green Mill Restaurant in the Howard Johnsons in the Wisconsin Dells. Located on Highway 13, exit 87 off I-90/94.

New Business:
Our next topic was suggestions of topics for upcoming meetings.

The first suggestion was for Duane, N9DG, to present a program on Software Defined Radios. It was suggested to see if he could be here for the Feb or March meeting. Don, K9JYX, motioned for him to present at the March meeting.Dave, KB9CSW, seconded. Motion passed on voice vote, pending any problems with N9DG.

Don, K9JYX, suggested a program by Tom Weeden, WJ9H, on HDTV. N9UDO said he would check with WJ9H as to availability.

K9JYX also brought up the possibility of announcing the meeting dates in the papers owned by Capital Newspapers Inc. He also mentioned the possibility of having an open house meeting to try to interest new members.

Steve, N9UDO, stated that Wednesday night, Jan 11, BATS (Badgerland Amateur Television Society), would be meeting at the Roxbury Tavern in Roxbury at 6:30 for drinks, 7:00 for meeting.

Waukesha Hamfest to be held on Saturday, January 7, from 8am to 2pm.

We have 2 new members, KC9RH Dan Tracy, and his wife, Candi, N9EHH. Welcome to you both. They are residing in Poynette area, and we look forward to having them become very active with the club.
