Meeting Minutes - February 3, 2009

The meeting was called to order by President Steve Schulze (N9UDO) at 7:30 p.m. The minutes from the meeting on January 6, 2009 were distributed and reviewed. One correction was made: adjournment time was 9:00 p.m., not 9:30p.m. as reported. One clarification was made: Don Evenson (K9JYX) is preparing the forms for the 501(c)(3) filings, not 501-3c as reported. Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) made a motion to accept the minutes with the correction and the clarification. Don Evenson (K9JYX) seconded the motion. A vote was taken, the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Don Evenson (K9JYX) reported that our balance as of 2-03-09 is $xxx5.32.  Following discussion, Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) made a motion for Don Evenson (K9JYX) to pay the group's annual Smoke Signals subscription fees. This motion was seconded by Jane Steinweg (N9JAS). The vote passed unanimously. Old Business: 1. 2009 Swapfest: Date and location to be determined. 2. Repeater linking project:  Still in progress. 3. D-Star:  Steve Schulze (N9UDO) has made an inquiry into the availability of our previous digital repeater frequencies, and will resubmit the application, if necessary. New Business: 1. Fox Hunt: Don Evenson (K9JYX) reported that Columbia County ARES/RACES will be sponsoring a Fox Hunt this spring. Stay tuned for further details. 2. The next Zilch is February 22, 2009 at the Farm Kitchen, 10:30 a.m. Contact Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) if you need further information. A motion was made by Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) at 8:40 p.m. to adjourn the meeting. It was seconded by Steve Schulze (N9UDO), and the vote was unanimous.
