Meeting Minutes - August 4, 2009

Due to a lack of a quorum, the meeting was cancelled. For the good of the club, an emergency Executive Committee meeting was called at 8:00pm. The topic for this meeting was the Swapfest scheduled for August 22, 2009. Steve Schulze (N9UDO) presented a power point and a diagram of the hall to us. We discussed table arrangement, dining location, talk-in radio location, and other logistical concerns.  We will have 30 vendor tables, 2 YTARC tables, and 4 dining tables. Set up will be Friday at 6:00pm and will go fairly quickly if several people show up. The doors will open for vendors at 6:00am on Saturday. At this time, we will need 2 or 3 people to assist with the loading zone, parking, and be available for the vendors. The sale will begin at 8:00am and we will need a few more people. Hands will be stamped at the door to allow re-entry from the parking lot. Breakfast and lunch will be served by Karen and Kim. Yeah! Talk-in will be on the 147.315 repeater. VE testing will be at the courthouse. So far, 5 tables and 11 tickets have been sold. Keep up the advertising! This is it folks! Our big fund raising event of the year! As always, our success depends on everyone's participation. Let's make it our best year ever! Our next regular club meeting will be September 1, 2009.
