Meeting Minutes - April 7, 2009
The meeting was called to order by President Steve Schulze (N9UDO) at 7:30 p.m.

The minutes from the meeting on March 3, 2009 were distributed and reviewed. Bill Stehling (KC9CVD) made a motion to accept the minutes as presented, and Tom Yager (KC9NJP) seconded the motion. A vote was taken, and the motion passed unanimously.

Treasurer Don Evenson (K9JYX) had emailed his report to Steve (N9UDO). YTARC sent $30.00 to the CAP scholarship fund in memory of Cliff Johnson (N9AFA), silent key. $60.00 in dues was received this past month. This leaves us with a balance of $xxx9.72. The only outstanding bill is our liability insurance; $325.00 is due by May 1, 2009.

Old Business:
Dave Spearing (KB9CSW) reported that a few hams participated in the military funeral in Portage. Thank you to all who donated their time.

Bill Stehling reported that several hams went to the visitation and/or funeral for Cliff Johnson (A9AFA). Gratitude was expressed for YTARC's donation to the CAP scholarship fund.

Wisconsin QSO party:  Both Steve (N9UDO) and Tom Harrison (N9PQJ) participated.

BSA Circus Heritage Days is coming up in May. Ideas discussed included sending up a balloon, setting up a radio table, and setting up PSK. Final plans will be made at our next meeting (May 5, 2009).

UHF linking project: Bob Naegele (W9MZ) reported that Richland Center is still working on tower and Yagi issues.

It was noted that several members had recently attended weather spotter training classes.

New Business:
2009 Circus City Swapfest is Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Elks Club Lodge in Baraboo!  Fliers are available and can be downloaded from www.yellowthunder.org. Members have taken the fliers to Jefferson and A.E.S. swapfests, and will be taken to MARA. Special thanks to Brad Pointon (KB9VMC) for donating this year's grand prize: an Icom IC2200H mobile radio!

After some discussion, Tom (N9PQJ) volunteered to investigate ARRL's radio equipment insurance policy options. Tom (N9PQJ) will also work with Don Evenson (K9JYX) to review our liability insurance options.

A motion was made by Bob Naegele (W9MZ) at 9:00 p.m. to adjourn the meeting. It was seconded by Bob Garske (W9EWW), and the vote was unanimous.

Our next meeting will be May 5, 2009.
